2018 GOLF OUTING MOVED TO SEPTEMBER 25

Due to inclement weather, the 2018 Scholarship Golf Outing has been postponed to Tuesday, September 25.  The good news:  that means it's not too late to add your name to the roster! Games, prizes and swag bags await all golfers, and all proceeds go to the INTMA Scholarship Fund which supports annual, local, machining scholarships.  More information and registration can be found on our website.  Thanks to 2018 Masters Sponsor Haas, Open Sponsor Federated Insurance, and all who committed to sponsoring this year's outing.  A few sponsorship opportunities are still available.

ANNUAL NTMA WAGE AND FRINGE BENEFIT SURVEY

The annual NTMA Wage & Fringe Benefit Survey is under way! There have been a number of articles in the Wall Street Journal lately on the low unemployment and challenges manufacturers face retaining skilled workers, let alone trying to hire new employees. The wage rate benchmarks in today's employment environment may be more valuable to NTMA members now than at any time in the last decade.

To guarantee complete confidentiality of your company’s data, all responses will be sent directly to and compiled by Mackay Research Group, an outside organization that specializes in survey research. Only aggregate results of the survey will be released.

To ensure a comprehensive report NTMA needs your participation! To complete a survey, click on the link below and return your completed survey to Mackay Research Group as noted on the survey.  Members that participate in the survey will receive the final report at no charge. Non-participants may purchase the final report for a cost of $125.

IVY TECH PARTNERS WITH INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

Ivy Tech has partnered with the Indiana Department of Corrections at various locations throughout the state to teach inmates how to set up and operate CNC equipment.  Students follow the same course as taught by the Workforce Alignment division, and have the opportunity to achieve NIMS certification in CNC Milling Operations and CNC Turning Operations.

CNC Operator opportunities for several women who completed the NIMS testing in Madison are currently being sought so that they can re-enter a normal, stable lifestyle.  If you are willing to interview and consider hiring one of these qualified candidates, please contact Gregory Kuhn, Program Chair MTTC/MPRO at Ivy Tech Community College, 317.921.4346 or gkuhn@ivytech.edu.
